Old House Renovations
Old House Journal is an online resource dedicated to old house renovations. The site can assist in finding products and services for homes which were built in1950 and earlier, and features plenty of advice for starting and finishing old house renovation projects.
For example, one of the featured projects on the site is a profile of the historic Clifton Inn in Virginia. Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this 18th century home features Jeffersonian architecture set on a 100 acre estate. Originally part of the Jefferson family property, the home is now an 18 room luxury bed and breakfast. It has been restored by owner Mitch Willey, who has restored over 20 other historic properties worldwide as part of a vacation rental company. Clifton was a private home up until 1985.
